Safflower
Safflower is an annual oil plant durable to draught, likes summer and long days, and grows in around 110-140 days. Plants are around 80-100 cm tall, may r may not have thorns, and the ones with thorns contain more oil. Its florwers can be yellow, white, cream, red or orange.
It has a taproot system going 2.5-3 m deep. Its seeds are white, brown and white with dark stripes. It is highly branched and has small trays of seeds at the end of each branch.
